Music for the Soul!

Tallahassee powerhouse Revival takes to the stage with the incomparable Avis Berry’s dynamic voice and stage presence. These folks have catapulted to the top of Tallahassee’s musical mountain with a stellar ensemble of gifted local musicians including Jeff Davis on bass, Dillon Bradley-Brown on drums, Chris Skene on guitar and vocals, John “JB” Babich on piano and vocals, and Paul M Harvey on percussion and vocals. True to their name, they revive old rock ‘n’ roll, blues, soul, gospel, rock and jazzy influences created in their own inimitable style. Vocal harmonies abound. A show not to be missed.

Revival Is...

Avis Berry

Avis Berry

Avis Berry is a three time alum of FSU with a BM in voice performance, MS in elementary education, and MS in Library & Information Studies. Currently she teaches with Leon County Schools and is a librarian with the FSU College of Music Library. She has recorded and traveled the world with music, debuting this year as a guest vocalist with the Count Basie Orchestra under the direction of Scotty Barnhart.

Chris Skene

Chris Skene
guitar, vocals

Chris Skene has been playing guitar for twenty years (and boy, are his fingers tired). In addition to making music with Revival, he has performed with groups like the Scarlet Begonias, the Acoustic Messengers, and many others in the North Florida region.

Jeff Davis

Jeff Davis

My musical journey began my sophomore year in high school. I signed up for guitar one and I was hooked. Just a few months later, I got a bass guitar for Christmas. I was taking guitar at school everyday, doing private lessons once a week, and playing in bands. After high school, I decided to study music in college. I studied guitar at Florida State University with Bruce Holzman getting a BA degree in music. I started teaching guitar and bass guitar after college and I love my job. Playing live music and teaching is a dream come true.

Dillon Bradley-Brown

Dillon Bradley-Brown
drums, vocals

Music has been a part of Dillon's life as long as he can remember. Growing up in the Tallahassee area, he has been immersed in the music scene and was brought up under the musical influence of his father Pat Brown, (bass player) and uncle Ed Bradley, (drummer & guitarist). Dillon is a drummer in two current projects, Two Foot Level and Revival, and has collaborated with fellow music lovers in a vast array of bands over the years; Widapotnisa, Red Flag Hitchhikers, Big Chops, Flint Hardware, Powder Blue, South Munroe, Catfish Alliance and more.

John "JB Babich

John "JB" Babich
keyboards, vocals

John JB Babich has been playing piano and Hammond organ to delighted audiences across the US, Canada, and Europe for decades. JB's style of funky piano and greasy organ are a natural fit to Revival's soulful sounds. When he wasn't touring, JB was a familiar face on the local Tallahassee music scene, playing with many local acts and leading his own Zydeco band for 20 years.

Paul Harvey

Paul M Harvey
percussion, vocals

Growing up in Saint Augustine, Florida provided plenty of waves to surf and a vibrant music scene for Paul Harvey to thrive. He was encouraged by his parents who were crazy enough to buy him a drum set at the age of 12. Paul is a life-long student of Afro-Caribbean drumming. Since the early 90s, Paul has played drums and percussion with many different groups. He currently plays percussion with the traditional latin band, Tocamos Mas, and lo-fi indie innovators, Langtry. Paul Harvey currently resides in Tallahassee, FL where he also pursues songwriting, guitar playing, and singing.
